The Sandra J. Skolnick Public Policy Leadership Award
Support leadership in advocacy for child care in the United States through a contribution to the Sandra J. Skolnik Public Policy Leadership Award.
This award was established in 2008 to honor the life and work of Sandra J. Skolnik who was a recognized leader at local, state, and national levels for her pioneering work towards the development of the Maryland Child Care Resource Network, a private-public partnership that continues to provide needed services for Maryland's families with young children. As the Executive Director of the Maryland Committee for Children, Sandy was a passionate visionary and a dedicated advocate for quality child care and education for over 30 years. She helped build the Maryland Committee for Children to a staff of over 75 and a $10 million annual budget.
